TRAINAHEAD® cares about nature and the preserving of earth. TRAINAHEAD® is a company striving to deliver a minimalistic and Zen-designed product made from eco-friendly and high quality materials. This is of cause very easy to say, but actually the labeling on our products states which materials have been used in production. We put effort into listing this because we believe our customers deserve to know exactly why TRAINAHEAD® products are eco-friendly. More and more people today care about eco-friendliness and skin health. Therefore we will continue to update all informative labeling on our products.

Here are the 4 present materials used by our factories:

EVA (Ethylene vinyl acetate)
Being a firm material as EVA mostly is, it is a splendid material to make several products from within several industries – hereunder also the sports industry. EVA has the advantage of being 100 % recyclable of all production waste which means that no waste is achieved producing from the material. This helps to exploit the resources using EVA in all productions.  EVA is free of chlorides, heavy metals, phenols, latex and all toxics.

TPE (Thermoplastic elastomers)
TPE is widely recognized as being eco-friendly due to the fact that it is decomposable. TPE is recyclable and reusable and is used a lot for manufacturing exercise equipment such as the well-known eco-mat as TRAINAHEAD® is also selling in a Studio Edition. The material has an excellent anti-slip surface which is therefore very attractive to make mats from. TPE is free of chlorides, heavy metals, phenols, latex and all toxics and is 100 % recyclable.

NBR (Nitrile butadiene rubber)
This eco-friendly material is a highly recognized foam a-like material used for several products such as exercise mats. NBR is free of chlorides, heavy metals, phenols, latex and all toxics. Also it has the advantage of being decomposable in nature. As NBR is a kind of foam it is a very light material.

ATBC – PVC (Acetyl tributyl citrate – Polyvinyl Chloride)
This material is the “good” PVC and  is known for being a bio-degradable plasticizer. ATBC – PVC develops fewer biochemical effects. ATBC – PVC is a non-toxic plasticizer that provides flexibility in exercise equipment, soft toys for children, medical products such as blood bags, food packaging materials, and cosmetics. The liquid chemical is a colorless organic compound belonging to the carboxylic acid family. It exists in all plants, particularly lemons and limes as well as in many animal tissues and fluids. ATBC – PVC is without phthalates and without other toxic content.
